Team cup 2018

Russialoppet Team Cup is held among collectives whose members can be no more than 15 participants from any city, any age and gender.

The Cup of Teams creates an additional motivation for marathon fans to participate in the Russialoppet Series marathons and collective trips with friends and colleagues.

The winner of the Team Cup and subsequent places in the ranking are determined by the amount of points scored by the team in 16 stages. At each stage the 5 best results shown by team members are considered. In the final standing are included only those team members who finished at least in two stages.

TEAM

 To participate in the Team Cup the team must respond the following criteria:

•       maximum number of team members - 15 people of any gender and age;

•       an application for participation from the team which must be sent to the organizers of Russialoppet to the info@russialoppet.ru no later than 20.01.2018 *;

•       in the case of pre-application of athletes after the specified period, the application for the next stage should be sent 3 days before the start.

PARTICIPANTS

In the Russialoppet Team Cup rating is included athletes:

1. who has completed a distance of at least 2 any stages of the Cup;
2. who has Russialoppet passport;
3. who reached the age of 17 years by 31.12.2018.*

* the age calculation example of the participant 2001 year of birth: age = 2018 - 2001 = 17 years

RESULTS

The winner of the rating is the team which scored the largest sum of the points in 5 stages of the Team Cup.

The distances specified in the Team Cup Calendar bring points for men and women:

•  the main distances and satellite distances for men and women are indicated by /;
•  satellite distances are the main distances for 17-18 years groups;
•  distances for women that differ from the main distances for men are indicated through*.

The team standing on each stage are determinate by the sum of 5 best results of team members. Only team members who finish at least in 2 stages of the Team Cup are included in the final standing.

The result of each team member is considered according to his age group.

The age of participants is brought by 31.12.2018.

* the age calculation example of the participant 1983 year of birth: age = 2018 - 1983 = 35 years, 35-39 age group, code 2

The finishers get their points according to the formulas below:

where t_х – participant’s time, t_о – age group leader’s time.

If the points between several participants in same age group are equal, the leader and subsequent places among them are determined by:

a.     the largest number of victories in the Russialoppet stages; 
b.     the largest number of second places, third places, etc.; 
c.     in the case of equality for all these indicators, the leader and subsequent places of participants are determined by the best place in the last race.

REWARDING

The teams which took 1-3 places are awarded by cups.

Rewarding is held as part of the awarding ceremony of the Baikal marathon.

If the athlete is absent at the awarding ceremony, the prizes remain at the disposal of the organizers.
