RUSSIALOPPET MASTERS CUP REGLAMENT
The Russialoppet Masters Cup calendar (the Cup) includes the main distances for men and women in 39 marathons of the series, which differ in length, the style and the terrain of the course, and do not overlap by the date of the event. These races unite skiers of any age and skills and each year attract tens of thousands of participants to the start.
The cup allows every skier who finishes at least in 2 marathons to get a place in the overall standing. The goal of the Masters Cup is to attract the strongest skiers in their age groups to participate in the marathons.
In the 2021 season, the Cup consists of 39 stages, 15 age groups for men and women. Winners of the Cup and subsequent places in each age group are determined by the sum of 5 results.
PARTICIPANTS
In the Russialoppet Masters Cup rating is included athletes:
- who has completed a distance of at least 2 any stages of the Cup in 2 federal regions of Russia
- who has Russialoppet passport;
- who reached the age of 17 years by 31.12.2021.*
* the age calculation example of the participant 2004 year of birth: age = 2021 - 2004 = 17 years
RESULTS
The distances specified in the Masters Cup Calendar bring points for men and women:
- the main distances and satellite distances for men and women are indicated by /;
- satellite distances are the main distances for 17-18 years groups;
- distances for women that differ from the main distances for men are indicated through*.
The leader of the Rating is determined by the largest sum of the points scored in 5 stages during the current season.
The age of participants is brought by 31.12.2021.

The finishers get their points according to the formulas below:

where tх – participant’s time, tо – age group leader’s time.
If the points between several teams are equal, the leader team and subsequent places among them are determined by:
a. the largest number of victories in the Russialoppet stages;
b. the largest number of second places, third places, etc.;
c. the best place in mandatory stage;
d. in the case of equality for all these indicators, the leader and subsequent places of participants are determined by the best place in the last confrontation race.
REWARDING
The athletes who took 1-3 places in each age group are awarded by cups
Rewarding is held as part of the annual ceremony of the Masters Russialoppet awarding at the end of the season.
If the athlete is absent at the awarding ceremony, the prizes remain at the disposal of the organizers.
